Where projects stall
What decides whether a mineral ingredient is approved
These are the four points a buyer and their technical team stop on, and what is in place here for each of them.
-
The name does not define the material
One mineral name can cover a salt, a complex, a chelate or a standardised mixture, with a different mineral content and a different ligand. Every product carries its chemical form or ligand, so two products are compared on what they are.
-
A certificate is not proof of structure
A COA reports the results of the tests it lists, on the batch it identifies. It does not by itself prove molecular structure, true chelation or behaviour in a formulation, and the documents sent state the scope they cover.
-
Regulatory status is decided per product and market
There is no single answer for a mineral across markets: it depends on the chemical form, the use, the intake and the destination. The framework questions are collected per market, and the final assessment stays with the customer and their regulatory team.
-
Approval is a project, not a purchase
Procurement opens the enquiry, but research and formulation, quality assurance and regulatory review each have to clear the material, and a change of supplier carries re-sampling, method comparison and audit work. The material is documented so every reviewer works from the same information.
Form and ligand
What changes when the form changes
Elemental content, formulation behaviour, documentation requirements and market suitability follow from the form. Two products that share a mineral name are not automatically interchangeable.
Salt, complex and chelate are not interchangeable terms
The form or ligand is named when a specification is agreed: a salt, a complex and a chelate of the same mineral are not one product under three names.
Specification comes before comparison
When comparing mineral ingredients, confirm the chemical form, elemental mineral content, product identity and agreed specification before treating two products as equivalent.
Product portfolio
Four product groups. One structured catalogue.
Every product is classified by product group, mineral, form or ligand, and application, making it easier to move from a formulation requirement to a specific ingredient.
Who we are
Santa Minerals in short
Mineral ingredients and mineral chelates, supplied to business customers against an agreed specification.
-
Portfolio
Four product groups: amino acid chelates, mineral salts, mineral complexes and specialty mineral ingredients.
-
Manufacturing & quality systems
Dedicated production bases in China, with manufacturing supported by cGMP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 quality systems, each provided with the scope it names.
-
Customers
Manufacturers, brand owners, ingredient traders and distributors, with the global market served equally and no region treated as a priority.
How we work
Specification first. Sample next. Purchase when confirmed.
An ingredient request usually starts with a specification, not a shopping cart. We first identify the product and form, then provide the relevant information and sample before commercial terms are finalized.
-
Product & specification
Tell us the mineral, form, application and specification you need.
-
Documents
Review the available product information and technical documents for the selected material.
-
Sample
Request a sample against the agreed specification for your internal testing.
-
Commercial terms
Once the material is understood and approved, confirm MOQ, packaging, shipping and other order terms.
Technical resources
Useful information behind the products
Technical guides, comparisons, formulation notes, regulatory questions and other resources help buyers understand mineral forms before selecting a product.
Mineral Ingredients Across Major Markets
Regulatory requirements for mineral ingredients vary by mineral form, intended use and destination market. The overview below highlights key regulatory frameworks relevant to B2B mineral ingredient…
Iron Forms in Supplement Formulation
Elemental iron content, behaviour in the matrix and what to settle before sampling.
Calcium Sources Compared: Citrate, Gluconate and L-Threonate
Elemental calcium content and solubility across three calcium forms.
Applications
Mineral ingredients across formulation categories
The right mineral form depends on the product, formulation and market requirements. Explore the catalogue by application to see relevant ingredients.

Have a specification in mind?
Send us the mineral, form, application and specification you need. We can review the requirement and respond with the relevant product information, documents, sample options and commercial details.
For a faster response, include the product name or CAS number, target specification, application and estimated requirement where available.
