The process

A specification is evaluated before it is quoted

A custom request starts with the technical question, not with a price. Where the requirement can be met, the specification is quoted, sampled and produced as its own line; where it cannot, the closest standard specification is recommended and the differences are stated one by one.

  1. Send the requirement

The target specification, or the requirement your current supply cannot meet: the mineral, the content or assay, the chemical form or ligand, and the parameters that decide your process.

  2. Technical evaluation

The requirement is compared with the specifications we hold. The answer says which parts can be met and which cannot, and it comes before any quotation.

  3. Quotation and sample

A requirement that can be met is quoted and sampled as its own specification. A requirement that cannot is answered with the closest standard product and the differences, stated without rounding them off.

  4. Your validation

You test the sample in your own formulation and on your own line: solubility, colour, flow, moisture pick-up and behaviour through your process.

  5. Production

On your order the agreed specification goes into production, the material is inspected before shipment, and it ships with the documents confirmed for that order.

What to send

What a technical review needs

The more of this arrives with the first message, the further the review can go in one answer instead of several.

  • Your target specification, or the requirement your current supply cannot meet.
  • The mineral, and the content or assay you need.
  • The chemical form or ligand.
  • Particle size, moisture, pH, heavy metals and microbiology limits that are critical for your process.
  • The application and the product form the ingredient goes into.
  • The market where the finished product is sold.
  • The quantity you are planning, and the packaging you would receive it in.
  • The documents you need for your own dossier.

A request does not have to be complete. If some of it is still open, say which parts are fixed and the review starts from those.

Boundaries

What we state, and what we leave to the evidence

Custom work is answered from the technical data held for the material and from what can be confirmed for your market and application. Where something is not confirmed, it is named as open rather than filled in.

  • Evidence, not names

Questions about the ligand, the mineral-to-ligand ratio or the production route are answered from the technical data held for the product, not from the product name.

  • Chelate wording

No product is described as a true chelate on the strength of a name or a certificate alone.

  • Samples

A custom, unusual or high-cost sample is costed separately from a standard small sample.

  • Development costs

Costs for development work are confirmed with the project rather than published as a general rule.

  • Regulatory questions

Where a market requirement blocks a project, the exact point in question is clarified first. This is technical support, not legal advice, and it is not a guarantee of admission to a market.

Start a request

Send the requirement that cannot be met

Send the specification you are working to, or the point where your current supply falls short, with the application and the market. The answer states what can be met and what the differences are.

A specification that cannot be met is answered with the closest standard product and the differences, stated one by one.
