Application areas
The applications the catalogue serves
Application is recorded on every product rather than kept as a product line of its own, because the same mineral is specified differently for each use.
Each tile opens the products classified for that application, and the number of products in that area is counted on the tile itself.
Specification
Why the same mineral is specified differently
The molecule can be the same in every application; what changes is which parameters are checked first, and which rules and documents apply to the finished product.
A mineral ingredient is chosen for the mineral and specified for the use. A supplement declares a mineral level, so content and its verification carry the specification. A functional food puts the material into a food matrix, where solubility, colour, flow and behaviour through processing matter alongside content. A cosmetic uses the physical and chemical properties of the material in a different matrix again. Each market then applies its own rules to what is sold there. One mineral, several specifications: application is the reason the same product name is not one specification.
-
Content and form
The same product name can cover different contents, specifications and chemical forms, so the specification has to name the form rather than the name.
-
Behaviour in the process
Solubility, colour, flow, moisture pick-up, caking, stability and process behaviour are judged differently in each application, and every matrix behaves differently.
-
Documents and rules
The specification, the test methods and the documents that apply are confirmed per product, per application and per market.
Per market
Regulatory suitability is confirmed per market, product and use
A mineral ingredient accepted in one market or one application is not automatically acceptable in another, and no single answer covers the whole catalogue.
Import and regulatory questions are answered for the market, the product form and the use level you name, with the documents that market asks for. Send the destination and the intended use with your enquiry and the answer states what can be supplied for that combination.

Name the application and the market
Tell us the mineral, the application it goes into and the market where the finished product is sold. The answer names the closest product, its specification and the documents that apply.
Regulatory suitability is confirmed per market, per product and per use.
